Northwestern Begins Summer Work Hours June 1, Ends July 30

ALVA, Okla. — All Northwestern Oklahoma State University locations will observe summer work hours starting Monday, June 1, through Thursday, July 30. The university will be open Monday through Thursday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

In an effort to better serve Northwestern’s prospective students during these adjusted summer work weeks, the following Northwestern-Alva offices will remain open on Fridays:

  • Recruitment
  • Business Office
  • Financial Aid
  • Registry


Northwestern-Woodward and Northwestern-Enid offices will not be open on Fridays during summer hours.

The Ranger Market and Starbucks will begin their summer hours May 27. They will be open the following days from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., with no Happy Hour:

  • June 1
  • June 3
  • June 8
  • June 10
  • June 15
  • June 17
  • June 22
  • June 24
  • June 29
  • July 1


Summer enrollment is still open at Northwestern for both undergraduate and graduate programs. Summer classes begin June 1 for June-only classes and classes held in both June and July. July-only classes begin June 29.

The final days to register for classes in the summer are June 2 for June-only classes; June 30 for July-only classes, and June 4 for classes held in both June and July. The summer session ends July 23.

Fall classes begin Aug. 17, and enrollment will remain open until Aug. 25.

Undergraduate students with enrollment questions may call the Alva Registrar’s office at 580-327-8550, the Enid Registrar at 580-213-3102 and the main office in Woodward at 580-256-0047 or 580-254-2500.

Questions about applying to become a student at Northwestern can be asked at recruit@nwosu.edu or 580-327-8546. An online application for admission to Northwestern is available.
