The Mission of the NWOSU Pre-Nursing Association (PreNA)
- Provide an effective means for all pre-nursing students to have a voice in the PreNA.
- Promote fellowship, communication, and interaction among pre-nursing students.
- Improve campus life.
The Purpose of NWOSU PreNA
- Create an environment for students to learn about the profession of nursing.
- Aid in the development of the whole person, their professional role, and their responsibility for the health care of people in all walks of life.
- Nurture pre-nursing students to become leaders and future caring nurses.
- Promote a spirit of friendship and cooperation among students, faculty, and other student organizations.
The Functions of NWOSU PreNA
- Promote and encourage participation in community affairs and activities toward improved health care.
- Promote and encourage recruitment efforts, participation in student activities, and educational opportunities regardless of a person’s race, color, creed, sex, lifestyles, national origin, or economic status.
- Promote and encourage students’ participation in interdisciplinary activities.
- Promote and encourage collaborative relationships with nursing and related health organizations.
- Provide career and academic counseling and support for members.
- Promote recruitment and retention of students into nursing.
