Medical Sciences Club
The purpose of the NWOSU Medical Sciences Club is to provide an opportunity for all students interested in the medical field at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, to become better informed, secure intellectual stimulation in these fields, and to promote activities to benefit the student’s pursuits in health-related careers.
Students become better informed and establish advantageous connections through interesting speakers, informative trips, and other events.

Article I Name
The name of this club shall be Northwestern Oklahoma State University Medical Sciences Club.
Article II Purpose
The purpose of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Medical Sciences Club is to afford an opportunity for all students of Northwestern Oklahoma State University interested in the medical field to become better informed, to secure intellectual stimulation of these fields, and to promote activities to benefit the students interested.
Article III Membership
Section 1. Membership will be open to any student attending Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a true interest in a medical field.
Section 2. Only active members shall have the right to vote or hold offices in the club.
Article IV Officers
Section 1. Officers shall be a president, vice-president, secretary/treasurer, and historian.
Section 2. Duties of the President shall be to lead in all activities of the club. He or she shall preside at all meetings, and shall perform such other duties as are ordinarily assigned to this office.
Section 3. In case of the absence or disability of the President, the Vice-President shall assume the duties and office of President.
Section 4. Duties of the Secretary/Treasurer shall be to keep a record of all meetings, care for the correspondence, and do all the secretarial work of the club. It shall also be his or her duty to collect all money due the club, and to pay the same out when properly authorized.
Section 5. Duties of the historian shall be to keep a record of the activities and history of the club and its members.
Section 6. Officers previously provided for shall hold office for a term of one year. Time and place of election and the time for assuming the duties of the offices shall be carried out as stipulated in the by-laws.
Article V Quorum
A simple majority of the active members present at the meeting shall constitute a quorum for the transactions of club members.
Article VI Amendments
Section 1. An amendment may be proposed by any member at a regular business meeting.
Section 2. A three-fourths vote of all active members shall be necessary to pass an amendment.

Section 1. Meetings shall be held as announced by club officers.
Section 2. Club dues shall be $10.00 per year.
Section 3. Officers shall be elected at the last business meeting in April and shall be installed at the same meeting.
Section 4. Suspension and/or removal of office for cause requires a three-fourths ascending vote of the active members.
Section 5. An active member shall be one who has attended at least one-half of all meetings and activities scheduled by the club and has paid their dues.
