Dr. Eduardo Moreira, assistant professor of music, performs at the Reichenberger Department of Fine Arts Faculty Recital last year in Herod Hall. The date for this year’s faculty recital is Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Alva Presbyterian Church.
The faculty of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Reichenberger Department of Fine Arts will present a recital for the public Jan. 30 at the Alva Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and the show will begin at 7 p.m.
There is no charge, however, monetary and food donations for the Northwestern Campus Cabinet food pantry are encouraged.
Faculty will showcase their expertise in the areas of music, theatre and visual arts. Each faculty member will present a performance in their respective area. The public can expect to hear vocal music, piano, flute, tuba, and also a theatrical performance and art works.
Dr. Eduardo Moreira, assistant professor of music, is excited for the faculty to perform for the Alva community and Northwestern students to get the opportunity to see their professors in a professional setting.
“We believe that is important for them to see that their teachers are also accomplished performers in their area,” Moreira said. “Last year's recital had great attendance, and many members of the community wanted this concert to become a regular event.”
