Miss Northwestern, Outstanding Teen to be crowned Nov. 3

Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alysson Stewart and Miss Northwestern’s Outstanding Teen Autumn Hudgins will pass on their crowns Sunday, Nov. 3, to the two women who will be chosen to represent the university at the Miss Oklahoma Competition in the coming year.
The competitions will take place in Herod Hall Auditorium at 4 p.m. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available in the Northwestern Business Office or from candidates. General admission is $8 in advance or $10 at the door and $3 for students with ID. Competing for the Miss Northwestern title are: Liberty Bird, freshman business administration major from Alva; Savannah Francis, freshman political science major from Tahlequah; Kenlee Netherton, junior psychology major from Blair; Melissa Perez, sophomore biology major from Ringwood; Ashton Tuck, freshman biology major from Mooreland; and Johnetta Washington, junior business administration major from Enid.
Three high school students are participating in Miss Northwestern’s Outstanding Teen competition. Teens competing are: Sydney Harmon of Meno; Alee Hunt of Seiling; and Libby Williams of Norman.
Candidates for the Miss Northwestern title will be judged on talent, evening gown and social impact, private interview, and on-stage interview. Candidates in the Miss Northwestern’s Outstanding Teen competition will be judged on talent, private interview, lifestyle and fitness, and on-stage question.
Each candidate in both the Miss and Teen categories will receive participation scholarship awards, and placement determines other prize earnings.
