Northwestern Locks in Tuition – Third Year In A Row With No Increase
July 19, 2023
Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s budget has been approved by the Regional University System of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education for fiscal year 2024.
Northwestern will operate with a total budget comprised of $29,206,545 compared to last year’s budget of $28,606,678. The FY24 budget shows an increase of $1,033,680 in state appropriations.
Tuition and mandatory fees will remain the same at $248.75 per credit hour for undergraduates. This is the third year in a row without a tuition increase.
“We are proud to be able to offer our students an affordable price for their education,” Dr. Bo Hannaford, university president, said. “We strive to fulfill our mission, which only happens if students feel they have the ability to fund their education.”
Northwestern officials approved an increase for full-time faculty and staff members, as well as a raise to adjunct instructors.
“We recognize those who dedicate their time to educating and helping our students, which are the employees of Northwestern,” Hannaford said. “Our students thrive when they’re being helped by the best, and we are thankful for the employees that work hard to continue Northwestern’s legacy.”
Northwestern is known for its affordable tuition and small classes where students create relationships with their professors. With enrollment being the topic of discussions around campuses nationwide, these two factors make Northwestern a great decision for any student – concurrent, traditional or nontraditional.
