Davis Crowned Miss Northwestern 2025; Ryerson Takes Home Teen Title

Jessica Davis of Woodward was named Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University 2025 during the annual Miss Northwestern competition on Sunday, Oct. 27, in Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall. Madeline Ryerson of Alva was crowned Miss Northwestern’s Teen 2025.
Davis, a freshman nursing major, performed a dance to “My Immortal” by Evanesence, and her community service initiative (CSI) is “Empower HER: Empowering Women through Health, Education and Resilience.”
Ryerson performed a vocal solo to “Beyond My Wildest Dreams” from The Little Mermaid on Broadway, and her CSI is “Your Message Matters.”
Davis will receive a $1,500 tuition scholarship and a cash scholarship as Miss Northwestern. When Ryerson attends college at Northwestern, she will receive a $1,500 tuition scholarship as well.
Lawsyn Howard of Woodward, named Miss Northwestern’s Star 2025, will accompany Davis to the Miss Oklahoma Scholarship Competition at Rose State College’s Hudiburg Chevrolet Center for Performing Arts in June. Howard is the daughter of Josh and Destiny Howard.
Miss Northwestern’s first runner-up is Norah Scarbrough, a sophomore biology health science major from Alva. She will receive a $1,250 tuition scholarship and a cash scholarship.
Second runner-up and the Miss Northwestern People’s Choice a is Jaxyn Cloud, a sophomore mass communication major from Seiling. She will receive a $1,000 tuition scholarship and a cash scholarship. Cloud also won the People’s Choice Award.
Third runner-up is Kaylyn Aldrich, a sophomore early childhood education major from Okeene. She will receive a $750 tuition scholarship and a cash scholarship.
Fourth runner-up is Sophie Jungman, a freshman mass communication major from Alva. She will receive a $500 tuition scholarship and a cash scholarship.
Laura Blair, a counseling psychology graduate student from Waynoka, was the top patron/ad donation seller of the competition.
Miss Northwestern’s Teen first runner-up is Lydia Sciara of Kiowa, Kansas, representing Burlington Public Schools. She will receive a $1,250 tuition scholarship upon attending Northwestern.
Miss Northwestern’s Teen second runner-up is Merritt Mantz of Alva. She will receive a $1,000 scholarship upon arrival at the university.
Hannah Hensley of Jet respresenting Cherokee Public Schools received the Miss Northwestern Teen People’s Choice Award.
Contestants for the Miss Northwestern and Northwestern’s Teen titles were judged on talent/HERStory, evening gown, private interview, health and fitness, and on-stage conversation.

Ashley Carter, a freshman majoring in biology from Texhoma; Samantha Grimes, a sophomore instrumental music major from Enid; Riley Hensley, a sophomore health and sports science major from Jet; and Azucena Suzie Rivera Martinez, a senior accounting major from Waukegan, Illinois, also competed in the Miss Northwestern competition.
Other contestants for the Miss Northwestern Star program included Lakyn Alvidrez of Cherokee; Sloan Bishop of Enid; Makeia Brune of Waynoka; Jentry Cloud of Enid; Blakely Lauderdale of Alva; Lennon Lauderdale of Alva; Sawyer Lawrence of Hitchcock; Ella Martin of Alva; and Ellie Vermillion of Alva.
