Northwestern Oklahoma State University welcomes internationally acclaimed concert pianist Dr. Alexandre Dossin for the final Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series of the season, Tuesday, April 22, at 7 p.m. at Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
General admission is $20, senior admission is $15 and student admission is $5. Tickets may be purchased at Holder Drug, the Graceful Arts Center or online at www.nwocs.ludus.com.
Dossin is one of the most active pianists in the United States, with performances all over the world. He previously competed in international piano competitions, placing at the Van Cliburn Piano Competition and winning the Martha Argerich International Piano Competition in Argentina. He currently teaches piano at the University of Oregon.
“It is like bringing Carnegie Hall to Alva,” said Dr. Eduardo Moreira, assistant professor of music, who studied under Dossin as a doctoral student. “This is a unique opportunity for the Northwest Oklahoma community to hear an artist of this level.”
