Jeffery Lee, custodian for the Jesse Dunn building on the Alva campus at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has been selected by the Staff Council as the recipient of the 2017 fall semester Campus Kudos Award.

Natalie Miller, assistant certification officer and Staff Council chair, and Staff Council member Janet Valencia, secretary of the Division of Business and department of social work, presented Lee with the Campus Kudos award.

The person nominating Lee for this award said, “Custodian Jeffery Lee performs an excellent job keeping everything in the building clean and in order, whether during the regular school year or during the summer when student groups come to campus. He has proved to be one of the best workers in the building in my 13 years here. Also, he is always very friendly, conscientious and efficient. We have been fortunate to have him work here in Jesse Dunn these past few years. He deserves public recognition for his efforts.”

Campus Kudos is a public acknowledgement created by the Northwestern Staff Council that applauds the efforts of eligible staff members who have displayed an act of kindness above their job responsibilities. This award is presented each semester, including the summer term.

“I love making this college a better place by working hard at my job and being professional,” Lee said about receiving his award. “I try to go out of my way to be there for anyone who needs help. Life is what you make it. It’s not easy. Work hard, and be the best you can be.”
