Kelsey Martin named Director of Marketing and University Relations

Northwestern Oklahoma State University President Dr. Janet Cunningham has appointed Kelsey Martin of Alva as Director of Marketing and University Relations. Martin is expected to begin her duties in October.

Martin will lead the University’s efforts in marketing, communications and public affairs.

“We are excited to have her join the Northwestern staff and lead our messaging of academic excellence and value,” Cunningham said. “She has been actively involved in a number of community and regional activities and initiatives, and we are confident she will be an effective ambassador for Northwestern and a successful leader for our University Relations team.”

Martin comes to Northwestern after serving six years as Director of Marketing and Public Relations for BancCentral National Association. At BancCentral she was responsible for marketing bank products, sponsorships, event planning, internal and external relations and social media management.

She is a 2013 graduate of Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications.

“I am very excited to be joining the Ranger family,” Martin said. “I am eager to build upon the efforts of the University Relations team, and work with the faculty and staff to build upon the successful brand of Northwestern.”

Martin is active in the Alva community and northwest Oklahoma, serving on a number of boards, including the Alva Chamber of Commerce, Red Carpet Country Tourism, and Alva Bank It. She is a graduate of Leadership Northwest Oklahoma Class VI.
