Miss Northwestern Megan Spray to Compete in Miss Oklahoma Competition June 4-8 in Tulsa

Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University 2024 Megan Spray, a junior majoring in mass communication from Sharon, Oklahoma, will represent the university and northwest Oklahoma in the 2024 Miss Oklahoma competition June 4-8 at the River Spirit Casino Resort in Tulsa.

Joining Spray at the competition will be Northwestern Star Lillian Desai of Enid, Oklahoma, and Miss Northwestern’s Teen 2024 Christina Jenlink of Alva, Oklahoma.

Forty-two women from across the state will compete in talent, on-stage question, health and fitness, evening gown and a private interview highlighting the community service initiative they are representing through their title, as they compete for the coveted title of Miss Oklahoma.

Spray will be contestant No. 10 in the Mu group. Her interview will be on Tuesday, June 4, and her on-stage question/health and fitness and evening gown competition will be on Wednesday, June 5. She will perform her talent on Thursday, June 6, a drum performance to Metallica’s “Enter Sandman.” Her community service initiative is “Action and Awareness for Childhood Cancer: Fight Like a Kid!” The final competition and crowning of Miss Oklahoma will be at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

Jenlink is in the Omega group and will complete her interview on Thursday, June 6; talent on the afternoon of Friday, June 7; health and fitness, on-stage question and evening gown on Friday night during preliminaries. Jenlink’s talent is a flute solo to “The Entertainer” by Scott Joplin. Her community service initiative is “Stay Smart, Don’t Start: Preventing Teen Alcohol Abuse.” The final competition and crowning of Miss Oklahoma’s Teen will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

Emily Smith, Miss Northwestern 2023, will also be competing in the Miss Oklahoma competition as Miss Tulsa County. Smith's community service initiative is "Make Big Talk," and she has been selected as a community service initiative finalist in the competition. Her talent will be a vocal/piano performance to Elton John's hit song, "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." The Harrah, Oklahoma, senior is currently majoring in music education.
