Miss Northwestern, Teen to be Crowned Oct. 27

The reigning Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University Megan Spray and Miss Northwestern’s Teen Christina Jenlink will pass forward their crowns on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. in Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

Ten Northwestern students will be participating in the Miss Northwestern competition set for Sunday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. in Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall.

The reigning Miss Northwestern Oklahoma State University Megan Spray and Miss Northwestern’s Teen Christina Jenlink will pass forward their crowns on Sunday, Oct. 27, at 4 p.m. in Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall. Doors open at 3:30 p.m.

The two new titleholders will represent the university at the Miss Oklahoma Competition in June 2025.

Tickets for the local contests are available in the Northwestern Business Office or from contestants. General admission is $8 in advance or $10 at the door and $3 for students with Northwestern ID. Tickets also are available from Paige Fischer, executive director, at (580) 327-8533. 

Ten women are competing for the Miss Northwestern title including Kaylyn Aldrich, a sophomore early childhood education major from Okeene; Laura Blair, a counseling psychology graduate student from Waynoka; Ashley Carter, a freshman majoring in biology from Texhoma; Jaxyn Cloud, a sophomore mass communication major from Seiling; Jessica Davis, a freshman nursing major from Woodward; Samantha Grimes, a sophomore instrumental music major from Enid; Riley Hensley, a sophomore health and sports science major from Jet; Sophie Jungman, a freshman mass communication major from Alva; Azucena Suzie Rivera Martinez, a senior accounting major from Waukegan, Illinois; and Norah Scarbrough, a sophomore biology health science major from Alva.

Seven high school students are participating in Miss Northwestern’s Teen competition. The teen contestants, their hometowns and school they attend are Dawsyn Burgess of Shattuck and Shattuck Public Schools; Tanith Erikson of Alva and South Barber Public Schools; Hannah Hensley of Jet and Cherokee Public Schools; Merritt Mantz of Alva and Alva Public Schools; Madeline Ryerson of Alva and Alva Public Schools; Lydia Sciara of Kiowa, Kansas, and Burlington Public Schools; and Lauren Thomason of Burlington and Burlington Public Schools.

Contestants for the Miss Northwestern and Northwestern’s Teen titles will be judged on talent/HERStory, evening gown, private interview, health and fitness, and on-stage question. 

Each contestant in both the Miss and Teen categories will receive participation scholarship awards, and placement determines other prize earnings.
