Miss Oklahoma 2023 Sunny Day to Emcee Miss Cinderella’s Competition on Oct. 6.

Sunny Day, Miss Oklahoma 2023

Serving as emcee at Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Miss Cinderella Competition is Miss Oklahoma 2023 Sunny Day on Friday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. in Herod Hall Auditorium.

Sunny Day is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. Upon graduation in 2018, she entered the classroom as a public school teacher at Bridgestone Intermediate in the Western Heights Public School system.

Day had a unique journey to becoming Miss Oklahoma. She held her local title for two years and went on to compete in Miss Oklahoma in 2021 where she received fourth runner-up. After the 2021 competition, Day aged out of the pageant circuit. In 2023, the Miss America Organization announced an increase to the age of participation and Day was able to compete again. She earned the title of Miss Norman, competed in Miss Oklahoma, and walked away Miss Oklahoma 2023.

During her reign, she created her own character development school program called “Ready S.E.T. Go: Building Skills Today for Tomorrow’s Success.” Her community service initiative provides a path to gain life skills, mentorship, scholarships, and the dream life for youth of all ages and upbringings, by helping them navigate school, the workforce, and life experiences. Her goal is to take this program into the classrooms across Oklahoma to better serve its students.

The high school seniors who are competing for the title of Miss Cinderella and the high schools they represent are Onnaleaya Avants, Chisholm; Kamryn Baggs, Laverne; Holly Bockelman, Cherokee; Joselyn Charquero, Ringwood; Maleah Collison, Cimarron; Jessica Davis, Woodward; Autumn Drake, South Barber (Kiowa, Kansas); Sophie Jungman, Alva; Allynia Nusser, Freedom; Sadey Schoenhals, Shattuck; Mylee Sims, Burlington; Alyssa Smith, Arnett; Autumn VanZee, Mooreland; and Kennedy Zook, Waynoka.

Admission to either the Miss Cinderella Talent Show on Oct. 5 or the Miss Cinderella Pageant on Oct. 6 is $10 each night for adults, $5 for students with a student ID or $10 total with the purchase of a Homecoming button. Buttons will be available at the door on Talent Show night. Both events will be held in Herod Hall Auditorium.
