Northwestern Bands to Present Virtual Winter Band Concert March 5

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University symphony band and jazz ensemble will perform a selection of music virtually for the public to enjoy free of charge at 4 p.m. March 5.

Dr. Seth Cudd, assistant professor of music and director of bands at Northwestern, said the Winter Band concert will be live streamed via the university’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/nwosu.rangers.

Cudd said the jazz ensemble will be performing “The Theme from Sesame Street” by Joe Raposo and “Now's the Time” by Charlie Parker, both arranged by John Berry. The Symphony Band's portion of the concert will consist of “Suspended Animation” by Patrick J. Burns and “Salvation Is Created” by Pavel Tchesnokov, arranged by Houseknecht.
