Northwestern Diversity Committee to play host to Enid Outreach Services Members

April 2, 2025

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Diversity Committee will play host to Rhonda Stevison and three members of Enid Street Outreach Services on Thursday, April 10, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in the Education Center, Room 109, on the Northwestern-Alva campus.

Northwestern students, faculty and staff are all welcome to attend this event. The presentation will also be streamed to the Northwestern-Enid campus, Room 218; the University Center at Ponca City, Room 118; and the Northwestern-Woodward campus, Room 145.

Stevison has dedicated her life to serving others. When the world faced uncertainty in 2020, she utilized her 30 years of experience at the Department of Health and Human Services to act, distributing clothing and snacks out of the back of her car to those in need. Her unwavering commitment led to the founding of Enid Street Outreach Services in 2021, which provides essential resources to unsheltered and low-income individuals.

For the past five years, she has been building relationships and strengthening community ties, ensuring that no one is left behind. Her leadership and passion drive impactful outreach programs that offer food, clothing, shelter and advocacy to those who need it most. Stevison and her team will share their experiences on helping people dealing with financial hardship, health issues and more.

Dr. Roger Brown, chair of the Northwestern Diversity Committee and professor of business, said this presentation provides an opportunity to learn more about parts of society struggling with everyday basic needs along with other community outreach programs of which Northwestern students, staff and faculty may volunteer.
