Northwestern Jazz Ensemble in Concert Dec. 5

Members of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Jazz Ensemble perform at their 2023 Fall Semester Concert.
Northwestern Oklahoma State University jazz ensemble members will present their free fall semester concert on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. in Fellers Family Auditorium in Herod Hall. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The ensemble will perform works by the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Henry Mancini, Ray Charles and the Kingsmen under the direction of Max Ridgway, adjunct instructor of music.
The following students will be featured in this concert:
Celeste Alvarado on tenor saxophone, Woodward sophomore majoring in instrumental music; Jade Campbell on alto saxophone, Woodward junior majoring in instrumental music; Levi Crumpton on drums, Cushing junior majoring in vocal music; Samantha Grimes on bass trombone, Enid freshman majoring in instrumental music; Samuel Grinder on guitar, Sayre senior majoring in vocal music; Willem Johnson on bass guitar, Enid junior majoring in health and sports science education; Johnathon Snyder on trombone, Oklahoma City junior majoring in instrumental music; Bethany Towns on baritone saxophone, Alva senior majoring in psychology; and Mikayla White on trumpet, Paola, Kansas, senior majoring in health and sports science education.
Other jazz ensemble members include Jeffrey Cher-Aime on trombone, Newkirk graduate student in American Studies; Kacie Penner on alto saxophone, Fairview junior majoring in instrumental music; Chris Perez on trumpet, Laverne junior majoring in instrumental music; Rosa Vargas on tenor saxophone, Lahoma junior majoring in instrumental music; and Hadley Weathers on trumpet, Ringwood freshman majoring in mass communication.
