Northwestern Offering Second Chance Scholarships
August 2, 2019
Northwestern Oklahoma State University is giving some northwest Oklahoma high school graduates a second chance at scholarships to attend the school.
Northwestern will offer 2017 or 2018 graduates of 63 high schools who have never attended Northwestern as a regular student a special $500 incentive to enroll this fall as a full-time (12 credit hours or more) student. Recipients can attend any of the University’s three campus locations or enroll in online courses.
“We look at this as an opportunity to serve northwest Oklahoma and offer young people a second chance at earning a degree from Northwestern,” Janet Cunningham, university president, said. “Circumstances change and some students may be looking to attend Northwestern. We welcome them to become Rangers.”
The $500 incentive may be used to cover tuition and fees. In addition, students may be eligible for other forms of financial aid that can make attending Northwestern very affordable.
Fall semester classes begin August 19 and this incentive ends August 21.
