Northwestern Opens Online MBA Program for Enrollment
July 23, 2024
Dr. Garret Lahr, chair of the division of business and assistant professor of business, addresses a group of Northwestern students. Enrollment is now open for the new Master of Business Administration online degree program with specializations in management or health care administration.
By this time next year, it will be possible for qualified full-time students to have earned a Master of Business Administration degree in management or health care administration from Northwestern Oklahoma State University—completely online.
The Northwestern Division of Business partnered with the Charles Morton Share Trust Division of Nursing to develop a 33-credit hour, fully online MBA degree program.
This program has received approval from the Higher Learning Commission, and prospective students can now enroll for the fall 2024 semester.
If interested in continuing their education beyond a bachelor’s degree, any Northwestern business and accounting graduates with a 2.75 GPA are automatically admitted to the MBA program. Additionally, Northwestern nursing graduates with a minimum 2.75 GPA are also automatically admitted, given all prerequisite requirements are met. Current Northwestern students majoring in business, accounting or nursing can take MBA courses their last semester with their department chair’s approval.
For new or transfer students, admission requirements are: a bachelor’s degree and official transcripts from a regionally accredited university, an undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher for unconditional admission (or a 3.0 in the last 60 hours of undergraduate work), and a resume.
For individuals who have a bachelor’s degree in an area other than business or accounting, a Peregrine Inbound Common Profession Component (CPC) Exam is required. A Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is not required.
