Northwestern Presidential Lecture Series to be Broadcast on ‘Listening to America’

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University annual Presidential Lecture Series on Tuesday, March 5, will be centered on Thomas Jefferson and the American West. It will be recorded and eventually featured on a nationally syndicated radio broadcast.

The program is free and open to the campus community and public in the Education Center, room 109, on the Northwestern-Alva campus beginning at 1 p.m. and concluding at 2:30.

The annual program is sponsored by the Northwestern Department of Social Sciences and Endowed Institute for Citizenship Studies in collaboration with the Department of Mass Communication.

The syndicated radio broadcast “Listening to America” is hosted by noted national humanities scholar Clay Jenkinson.

The audience will also be treated to a private conversation between President Jefferson, portrayed by Jenkinson, with the program’s host posing various questions.
