Northwestern Wins at OCPRA 2019 Annual Conference

Northwestern Oklahoma State University public relations professionals Valarie Case (right) and Erin Davis took home five awards at the 2019 Oklahoma Collegiate Public Relations Association (OCPRA) annual conference and awards banquet recently.
Northwestern Oklahoma State University public relations professionals took home five awards at the 2019 Oklahoma Collegiate Public Relations Association (OCPRA) annual conference and awards banquet recently.
Northwestern’s winning entries included two Grand Awards, two Achievement Awards and an Honorable Mention. Awards went to projects submitted by university relations specialists Valarie Case and Erin Davis.
“I am tremendously proud of the University Relations team and thrilled to see their work recognized on a state level,” Steve Valencia, associate vice president for university relations, said. “Communications and marketing work is constantly evolving, but there is no doubt that we are at the forefront of our craft.”
OCPRA received more than 500 entries from more than 40 institutions for its 41 categories.

Founded in 1969, OCPRA provides networking and professional development opportunities to staff working in public relations and associated fields at Oklahoma’s public and private colleges and universities.
