Three Northwestern Seniors Awarded Guthrie Scottish Rite Scholarship for Spring 2025

Taylor Ellis (left), a senior agriculture education major from Kremlin-Hillsdale; Samuel Grinder (center), a senior vocal music education major from Sayre; and Erica Neuenschwander (right), an early childhood education major from Sharon, were awarded their Guthrie Scottish Rite scholarships at Northwestern’s Future Educator’s Day on Feb 5.
Three Northwestern Oklahoma State University seniors were awarded the Spring 2025 Guthrie Scottish Rite Scholarship given by the Guthrie Scottish Rite Charitable and Educational Foundation.
Those awarded this semester are Taylor Ellis, an agriculture education major from Kremlin-Hillsdale; Samuel Grinder, a vocal music education major from Sayre; and Erica Neuenschwander, an early childhood education major from Sharon.
Each semester the scholarships are awarded to teacher candidates who are completing their professional semester.
Dr. James Bell, vice president for academic affairs, and Dr. Jennifer Oswald, chair of the Division of Education and associate professor of education, presented the students with their scholarships.

The Guthrie Scottish Rite Charitable and Educational Foundation works primarily with children with language and/or reading disorders. Recipients are selected by the Division of Education faculty members through an essay application process.
